  1. I was impressed/intrigued by the following. These are not negative or positive judgments on my part, just my impressions:

    - Students writing reports/essays in short bursts (2 paragraphs at a time) of thought between web surfing, email checking, facebook posting, etc.

    - Young people in South Korea where major emphasis is placed on internet etiquette.

    - Young people in South Korea that attend sessions/camps to teach them balance in using the computer/internet.

    - Students/schools that have increases in achievement and attendance with the introduction of personal learning devices.

    - Teachers discussing that students will not need to know where to get the info, it’s online and readily available but the new/major emphasis of how one uses the info to complete a project or introduce it into a presentation.

    - IBM introducing virtual world environments into their culture and business process as an attempt to personalize meetings that take place worldwide. Interesting as they see some kind of need to improve even upon video conferencing. I need to understand this better, but it gave me a jump off to learning more.
    - The physician at UCLA viewing people under MRI’s while they multi-task and begin to try to understand how it affects the brain.

  2. I am very impressed and believe we need to address ethical use of the internet and not be afraid of it.
